Now here’s a partnership that will keep the Page 3 circles buzzing for a while. After selling her stake in Saket’s Manré restaurant, Ramola Bachchan has got into a partnership with restaurateur AD Singh for his Olive beach restaurant in Delhi’s Diplomatic Enclave. HT City caught up with them and the two attributed their coming together to not only “friendship” but an “association between two passionate foodies”.

Singh said, “As my business expanded, I looked for people who shared the same philosophy and bent of mind. I was impressed with the way Ramola dealt with things at Manré, her maiden venture. Despite being the owner, she would not shy away from going ahead and talking to a guest who was dissatisfied with the service. Her approach was simple, and that makes a lot of difference in this industry. She resonates a personal touch, and that is something I was looking for, in a business partner.” Says Ramola, “I like AD’s consensual approach to work. Here, everyone works like a family; there’s no hierarchy.”

Now that’s a mutual admiration society. Three cheers to the new innings!
