The CBI has booked four senior government officers for alleged fraud and misappropriation of funds in Jammu and Kashmir.

In the first case, the CBI registered a case against Atul Goel and A K Jain of Hindustan Petroleum on Saturday for allegedly sanctioning an LPG agency to one Rifat Jabeen on the basis of a fictitious handicap and qualification certificate.
Jabeen, a resident of Peer Bagh area in Srinagar, was also booked by the CBI.
In the other case, two officers of Archaeological Survey of India-- R K Gupta and S K Ghassi--were booked by the agency for causing Rs 4.86 lakh worth loss to the state exchequer by withdrawing more money than actually spent on a construction activity.
