Police said the cow gored the senior citizen and even flipped him over with his horns. The cow was later removed from the area by municipal corporation staff and sent to Nandi Park, where stray bulls are kept.

Police said HC Kashyap was out for a morning walk near Park View apartments around 7am when the stray cow hit him. The victim received critical injuries in the abdominal area.

“The injuries left him bleeding heavily. He also fell due to the impact and hit his head,” Indirapuram station officer Gorakh Nath Yadav told the Hindustan Times.
Some local residents said the cow was seen in their area for the past couple of days and had injured 4-5 people who luckily escaped unhurt.

Municipal commissioner Jitendra Singh said there was no facility to confine stray cows and buffaloes.
