Three killed, 15 injured in accident

Three women were killed and 15 others injured when a tractor trolley in which they were traveling turned turtle in the district, police said on Tuesday.

The incident occurred last night in Khaga area of the district, when the tractor driver in an attempt to save a motorcyclist lost control over the vehicle, they said.

All the victims were pilgrims, who were returning to Baisapur village after taking a dip in Ganga river at Kada Devi Dham in the district, they said.

The deceased has been identified as Chandravati, Shobha and Khushbu, they said, adding the 15 injured were rushed to district hospital, where condition of 10 was stated to be serious, police said.

Circle officer, Khaga, Pradeep Dubey and station in-charge Ramesh Pratap rushed to the spot immediately, police said.
