Three members of family attempt suicide

The trio was rushed to hospital in critical condition where one of them passed away, reports HT correspondent.

Three women of a family tried to commit suicide by taking some poisonous substance at Parraypora Hatmulla in frontier district of Kupwara.

One Hassina Begum, Rehana Bashir and Zarifa Begum, residents of Parraypora Hatmulla, attempted to end their lives by consuming some poisonous substance at their home.

The trio was rushed to hospital in critical condition where Hassina Begum passed away. The other two have been hospitalised in Srinagar.

Police said that a case in this regard has been registered at Kupwara police station and reason behind this drastic step is being ascertained.
