Trains collide in Thailand, 3 dead, over 50 injured

At least three people were killed and over 50 injured when two passenger trains collided in Thailand's seaside town of Hua Hin early on Sunday.

The accident occurred at 3 am at the Nongkae railway station in Hua Hin, police said.

The collision took place when a Langsuan-Thonburi train scheduled to pass through the Nongkae station was directed onto a wrong track and rammed into a stationary Bangkok-Yala train.

The driver and two workers of the parked train died in the accident.

Some 50 injured passengers were rushed to nearby hospitals.
