Uma Bharti tries to woo Judeo

IN AN attempt to woo senior BJP leader and Rajya Sabha member from Chhattisgarh, Dilip Singh Judeo, into her party Bharatiya Janshakti, Uma Bharti has expressed her ?sympathies? towards him. Uma, who is trying to build base for her party in the state, said that though Judeo was trapped by the Congress party, he also became victim of ?conspiracy? planned by some BJP leaders who never wished to see Judeo ascend as Chhattisgarh chief minister.

Judeo, a former Union minister of state for Environment and Forest in the Vajpayee government, was caught accepting money on videotape, allegedly for granting mining rights in Chhattisgarh. Judeo was then one of the BJP’s chief ministerial aspirants before the Assembly election.

She asserted that the BJP did not give a fair deal to Judeo who always fought for the Hindutva cause.
