As Rani Singh, a housewife opines, now she likes to wear artificial jewellery, because it has lots of designs and qualities. And above all, it is easily affordable and less risky to wear. When she goes to buy artificial jewellery, she does not have to worry about the budget.

Agreeing with the above statement, Poonam an employee in a reputed firm said that now nothing is safe. But with gold jewellery, she has to be more conscious.

“Whenever I drive my two-wheeler, there is a kind of fear, ‘What if it is snatched’. I prefer to wear artificial jewellery for its beauty and as a precautionary measure,” she adds.

Gopi Shyam, a sale organiser of artificial jewellery at Mall Road says that the buyers have limited budget. The customers cannot purchase gold jewellery again and again. So they have to be satisfied with the artificial jewellery, he adds.

However Smita, a teacher says that gold jewellery is forever. Now she wears artificial jewellery but wants to wear gold jewellery after her marriage. Artificial jewellery gives her opportunity to match it with her outfit.

Sometimes artificial jewellery does not suit sensitive skin but willingly or unwillingly, women have to wear gold jewellery. Nazish, a student says that because of her sensitive skin she never thinks about artificial jewellery. Only gold ornaments suits to her skin. She further says that the glory of gold cannot be compared with any other metal.

However, there are some people who like the durability of gold. Reetu, a counselor opines, “I like to wear gold because of its durability.

The grace of gold never loses its value. And artificial jewellery does not suit my skin also.”

Some women love gold because of its price value. They want to use the gold jewellery because it gives them return value. Shobhana, a student treats gold jewellery more as an asset. “Gold gives return value, which is little bit important for me. Whereas there is no return value of artificial jewellery,” she adds.

The type of metal for jewellery does not matter to number of women. They only want to purchase jewellery to beautify their looks. Parul, an employee in a bank says that she wears jewellery according to the occasion. The metal type does not matter to her. The jewellery must match with her dress in which she can look pretty.
