When the DM blew his top

DISTRICT MAGISTRATE Ramendra Tripathi on Wednesday took strong exception to the fact that no Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) representative was present at the Janta Diwas on Tuesday at Sadar tehsil. The enraged DM asked his staff to write a letter to the LDA Secretary to ensure his or his representative?s presence at the Janta Diwas as it was in the interest of the people.

The enraged DM asked his staff to write a letter to the LDA Secretary to ensure his or his representative’s presence at the Janta Diwas as it was in the interest of the people.

Further, he asked the LMC chief to ensure the presence of senior officers of the rank of Additional Municipal Commissioner. There were total 444 applications for redressal of grievances, of which 371 were disposed of. Of the 100 pending cases from Janta Darbar, 26 were disposed of, while the remaining were referred to their respective departments at the Collectorate and other State Government offices.

MP Bhagwati Singh, Senior Police Superintendent G K Goswami, Chief Development Officer Ram Ganesh, deputy collector (Sadar) Manoj Rai, tehsildar Chhotelal Mishra and others were present on the occasion.Meanwhile, the DM issued orders for fast disposal of pension cases. In a statement to the branch heads of widow, handicapped and old-age pension sections, the DM said that efforts must be made to achieve 100 per cent target by way of organising camps for disposing of pending cases.

Meanwhile, the branch heads declared the dates for widow pension camps- July 27 Aminabad Inter College, July 29 Sunni Inter College Tulsidas Marg, and August 3 at Durga Devi Mandir Marg Purana Tempo stand Rajajipuram. Also, orders have been issued to the CMO to ensure that the physically challenged get certificates as soon as possible.
