If you love travelling, make sure you visit India International Travel Exhibition (IITE) being held at Basketball Stadium in Indore.
"The exhibition, comprising 55 stalls, is a one-stop shop for consumers to pick up destinations of their choice. It is also a platform to promote domestic and international tourism. The objective of having such exhibition is to boost tourist awareness for national and international destinations at Indore," IITE director Anurag Gupta told Hindustan Times.
Besides state tourism departments, countries including Malaysia and Dubai, are taking part in the exhibition. The participants will display and provide information of their destinations, holiday, travel, tour packages and other services. The visitors will get an opportunity to select a tour package of their choice.
The travel exhibition has been timed to coincide with the festival season. "The coming weeks are the best time for those planning their holiday and business trips. Corporate houses and travellers will also get detailed information to choose suitable packages at their favourite destinations across the world," Gupta said. The tourist inflow to popular international destinations such as Dubai and Malaysia have registered an increase year on year.
The organisers believe not only Indoreans but people of nearby cities and states will also benefit from this exhibition.
