Raju is suspected to be a key link to revealing the true story behind the grisly murder mystery in which Kavita Raina was murdered, chopped up into pieces, stuffed into two gunny bags and then tossed into a nullah neat Teen Imli.
Raju parked the scooty of the deceased at around 8 pm on August 24, as per the register maintained by the parking contractor.
“We are very close to solving the case but we cannot share anything about it just now. It can hamper the investigation of the murder and the accused can take advantage of it,” said SP (West) Kalyan Chakarbarthy, while speaking to Hindustan Times.
On Sunday, ADG Vipin Maheswari attended a meeting of the DIG along with other senior officers of the city involved in the case. As per sources, the ADG took stock of the progress in the investigation.
