MYH renovation in Indore: Five MLAs to contribute Rs 25 lakh each

Five MLAs from Indore on Friday declared to donate Rs 25 lakh each for the renovation work of Maharaja Yeshwantrao Hospital (MYH), named "Kayakalp-2," which will take place after the Global Investors’ Summit 2014.

MLAs Ramesh Mendola, Usha Thakur, Sudarshan Gupta, Jeetu Patwari and Rajesh Sonkar declared financial help from MLA Fund during the meeting chaired by Indore commissioner Sanjay Dubey.

Commissioner added that hospital has already got Rs 33 lakh from district collector Akash Tripathi under public contribution committee funds.

Addressing the meeting, commissioner Dubey said Rs 9 crore will be spent on renovation work which includes purchasing and repairing of equipment, new painting, drainage line repairing, pest control and new electrification of entire seven floor building.

The whole of hospital will not be vacated altogether and the exhaustion process will be done from 6th floor. The admitted patients will be accommodated at the hospital itself and, if needed, will be shifted to Hukumchand Hospital.

They further added that a separate bank account for collecting funds from donors was opened at MY Hospital situated State Bank of India branch. The hospital administration also developed a website www.mgmmcindore.org through which the donors can get information about the renovation project. Decision for making model wards at each floor was also taken in the meeting, sources said.

The renovation work will be completed in three months by December. The officials will also buy four sonography machines, two for hospital and one each for Hukumchand Polyclinic and Government PC Sethi Hospital.
