BL Yadav, also the principal of Gurukul Government Higher Secondary School, said nodal officer Neeta Tiwari has been sent for inquiry into the matter.

‘School admin failed to admit students as per RTE Act’

Corporator Ashish Dagar in his complaint alleged that the school administration failed to admit students as per Right to Education (RTE) Act. Also, authorities did not upload the offline registration forms of students on the online portal, which led to deserving students failing to get admission despite qualifying entrance tests and completing required formalities.

The complainant added that the school authorities refused to admit students from Rau, claiming that the school is situated in Rangwasa. The aggrieved guardians then submitted late fee receipts by the school authorities, charging each student `2,000.

“The school administration was persuading guardians to buy stationary items at an allegedly subsidised price of Rs 1,400 as compared to market price of Rs 1,900. When we demanded receipts for the sale, the officials failed to do so fearing police action,” said Dagar.

Allegations baseless: Principal

Meanwhile, school principal Reena Khurana called the allegations baseless and said the complainant failed to furnish any evidence supporting his claim.

Sankul principal BL Yadav said, “There are 35 schools under his sankul and there is one nodal officer in charge of 2-3 schools. We sent officer Tiwari to the school but could not contact the official liable to answer our queries.”

“We have summoned the school authority accountable on Saturday. If no one turns up by Sunday, we will forward a notesheet to higher authorities stating that the school is not cooperating in inquiry,” added Yadav.
