About 50,000 people from the three constituencies are expected to attend the rally which will provide a boost to BJP candidates from the northern region of the state.

Talking to Hindustan Times, Kurukshetra superintendent of police Astha Modi said 1,700 cops have been deputed to monitor security arrangements. “Nearly 20 DSPs and 5 SPs have been deputed in Kurukshetra for the security of the PM,” she said, adding that about 1,000 cops have been called from nearby districts. The Special Protection Group (SPG) has taken charge of the ground to examine the security aspects of the venue and supervise preparations for the podiums.

Even the traffic has been diverted from Kaithal-Kurukshetra, Pehowa-Kurukshetra and Jhansa-Kurukshetra roads to avoid traffic jams. As per the schedule, the PM will land in Kurukshetra on Wednesday at 11 am and will address the rally around 11.30 am.
