These posters were put up in Ghatlodia, Navrangpura, Bopal, Thaltej and Aandnagar areas, which are part of Patel’s erstwhile Assembly seat.

Veteran BJP leader L K Advani represents the Gandhinagar seat in Lok Sabha.

Patel, who was the only woman to have assumed the office of Gujarat’s chief minister, is currently serving as Governor of Madhya Pradesh.

However, there has been no news of Advani contesting from the seat so far. Meanwhile, some posters in Naranpura Assembly constituency, also a part of Gandhinagar Lok Sabha seat, urged BJP president Amit Shah to contest.

Shah represented Naranpura in the state Assembly before he became a Rajya Sabha member.
