Six people, including three women, were booked for allegedly burning alive a woman in Khanpur Malleha village in Vishveshwarganj area of Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh, the police said on Tuesday.

According to a complaint filed by the victim’s family, 22-year-old Nanka Devi was burnt alive on March 3 by the kin of one Alok Pathak, with whom the married woman allegedly had an illicit relationship.
The woman died on Monday, superintendent of police Manoj Kumar said.
The police is awaiting the postmortem report while further probe is on.
