11 govindas injured during dahi handi celebrations

The Mumbai police said at least seven men sustained minor injuries while celebrating Dahi handi.

As of 1pm today, 147 dahi handis were broken across the city. According to police and civic officials, a total of 11 persons sustained injuries, of which seven sustained minor injuries while four were admitted to hospitals.

The Mumbai police said at least seven men sustained minor injuries while celebrating Dahi handi. The police are in the process of pinpointing the locations to which he injured persons belong.

According to officials at the BMC’S disaster control cell, four persons have sustained injuries and are recuperating in hospitals including Nair Hospital, Sion Hospital, VN Desai Hospital in Santacruz and one at Balasaheb Thackeray Trauma Hospital in Jogeshwari.

Police said no mandal organisers of the gokulashthami have flouted Supreme Court’s norm of keeping the length below 20 feet.
