A 23-year-old woman has filed a case against three Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel for gangraping her. Officials said though the incident took place in January, the survivor field a case on Thursday, as she was allegedly threatened of dire consequences by the accused. They added that the accused tricked her into coming early, spiked her drink and then gangraped her.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Rupali Ambure confirmed that they have registered a case and is being transferred to Mumbra police in Thane for further investigation.

The case was registered under sections 376C (taking advantage of his official position), 376D (is raped by one or more persons constituting a group or acting in furtherance of a common intention), 328 (causing hurt by means of poison, etc., with intent to commit an offence and other sections) of the Indian Penal Code.
