The flight carrying 91 passengers from the capital city of Thailand landed safely, but it made the airport’s main airstrip unusable for about 20 minutes.

According to airport officials, the aircraft encountered a hydraulic failure on the touchdown and got stuck on the main runway. As a result flight operations were shifted on the smaller runway between 12:38 am and 1 am, officials added.

A Mumbai International Airport Limited spokesperson confirmed the incident. “The passengers were put in a hotel and the aircraft had to be towed to a parking bay,” said the spokesperson.
