Piped Natural Gas (PNG) supply to houses in Kandivli, Borivli, Dahisar, Mira Road and Bhayander has been disrupted following damage to a Mahanagar Gas Limited’s (MGL) pipeline since Wednesday morning.

MGL said that it will take at least 24 hours for normalcy to resume.
MGL’s gas pipeline on the Western Express Highway at Malad (E) was damaged during an excavation work by MMRDA’s contractor on Wednesday. It resulted in temporary disruption of gas supply in a few areas.
The company’s emergency team is currently at the site to rectify the damage. The CNG stations in these areas will be impacted and domestic PNG supply might also be affected because of this.
“We regret the inconvenience caused to our consumers in Kandivli, Borivli, Dahisar, Mira Road and Bhayander due to this disruption,” said an MGL spokesperson. He also requested that consumers contact helpline numbers 1917 or 26594500 / 61564500, for further details.
