2. Man, wife and daughter held for torturing 75-year old mother

The DN Nagar police on Thursday arrested a 75-year-old woman’s son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter for allegedly physically and mentally torturing her. In a video submitted to the police, the son can be seen by trying to strangle his mother and tying her legs to a fan with a saree. Read

Unit 11 of the Mumbai crime branch arrested a 33-year-old man for allegedly blackmailing and trying to cheat a freelance writer after creating a fake Facebook account in the name of Hindi film director Ayan Mukerji. The arrested accused, Mohammad Shoeb Mohammad Iqbal Jethwa, was arrested from Mumbai Central railway station on Thursday, said police officer.Read
