Capable of plying at 200 kmph speed, Tejas Express has several unique features, which comprises automatically operated doors, stink-free vaccuum bio-toilets, infotainment system for every seat, reading lights, bells for calling attendants and onboard WiFi.

On May 22, railway minister Suresh Prabhu flagged off the train. Although WiFi, food and Infotainment system has disappointed the passengers a bit, its popularity seems to be unaffected.

Currently, the train runs five days a week, except Monday and Thursday. It will run thrice a week from June 10 . The running time of the train will also increase by couple of hours from the existing 8.30 hours.

Railway officials are hopeful Tejas Express will go housefull because the passengers would love to seen beautiful nature of Konkan through panoramic windows of the train.
