Rahul checked into hotel with ex-girlfriend a day before getting bail: Pratyusha’s parents

Shankar said they received threats when they returned to Jamshedpur recently.

Pratyusha Banerjee’s parents said Rahul Raj Singh and his ex-girlfriend, Saloni Sharma, checked into a Malad hotel a day before he got bail from the Bombay high court.

“We got to know from the hotel that Rahul stayed there and Saloni also checked in the same evening. Were they celebrating my daughter’s death? Were they so confident that he will get relief?” said Banerjee’s father, Shankar.

Shankar said they received threats when they returned to Jamshedpur recently.

“Once at the railway station, a man passed by and threatened us. He told us not to pursue the case and to leave Rahul alone,” he added.

The 24-year-old actor’s parents said the police have been lenient with Rahul. They said they want a fair investigating agency - the crime branch to probe the case.

Banerjee was found hanging at her Goregaon apartment on April 1. The police have filed a charge sheet against her boyfriend, Rahul Raj Singh, on the charges of abetment of suicide.
