Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis appealed to citizens on Friday, asking them not to panic or change their routine following reports that schoolchildren spotted the movements of few suspected people in Uran.
The chief minister said there was no need for schools and colleges to remain shut.
Fadnavis told reporters that the state and central agencies were working together and that all major structures were being combed following the alert. “The information provided by the school children has not been corroborated so far. However, we are not taking any chances and the entire machinery is working as a precautionary measure”, he said.
