“After my father’s death, I am the one in their way. They had attacked me in 2010 too. In a few days, I will approach Mumbai police commissioner for protection. I fear for my family. My father has filed at least five non-cognisable complaints against ex-corporator Razzak Khan, but no action was taken,” said Mayur.

“My aim now is to get the illegal constructions carried out by Khan on 16 acres in Kalina demolished.I want to get justice for my father’s murder. Khan’s son has illegally built an entire third floor and terrace in a building in Kalina village. We want that demolished too,” said Mayur. The Vakola police said Vira had lodged just one FIR against Khan and his son in 2010, but did not specify the number of NCs filed. “They used to file cross NCs. So far, we have found just one NC this year,” said a source.
