Chhug's 26-year-old wife, Priti, filed a first information report against him for allegedly trying to kidnap Sujal again on Friday.

On Friday evening, Sujal was out watching a movie at Ulhasnagar’s Jawahar theatre with his mother and his aunt when the incident took place.

“We stepped out in the interval and Bunty suddenly appeared and tried to snatch the boy,” said Priti who managed to catch Chhug (27) with the help of the security guards and take him to the police station. “My son has been kidnapped twice before by his father and he is very scared,” she said.

Chhug first kidnapped Sujal in 2007 and then again in November 2008 and fled to Nepal. Nearly nine months later the boy was found abandoned at Churchgate station and was reunited with his mother.

Priti had moved the Bombay High Court, which ensured the then Director General of Police S. S. Virk took personal interest in the case. The police traced Chhug to Nepal. The court has given Sujal's custody to Priti. She is currently fighting several cases of contempt, kidnapping as well as divorce with her husband.
