Five departments presented their vision documents.

Some of the chief minister’s Cabinet colleagues did not approve of the idea.

A senior Cabinet colleague from the Congress dismissed it as a “ploy” to win the high command’s appreciation.

“We know our jobs well… this lengthy process is not warranted.”

The vision document will be finalised when all departments submit their plans and incorporate the Cabinet’s suggestions.

The exercise is expected to take a month’s time.
