Chief minister, BJP legislators boycott airport inauguration
Chief Minister Ashok Chavan left for his foreign tour on Saturday, choosing to skip the inauguration of the Jalgaon airport by President Pratibha Patil on Sunday.

Chief Minister Ashok Chavan left for his foreign tour on Saturday, choosing to skip the inauguration of the Jalgaon airport by President Pratibha Patil on Sunday.
The programme also left Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Members of Legislative Assembly (MLA) angry as their names did not figure on the VIP list as mandated by protocol.
The Leader of the Opposition in the state Assembly, Eknath Khadse, boycotted the function along with two BJP Members of Parliament as well as local MLAs. Khadse alleged that the BJP MLAs were insulted at the function and not treated as per protocol.
