Wednesday’s minimum temperature at the Santacruz weather bureau was one degree above normal, the weather department said.

The maximum temperature was 27.2 degree Celsius, which is four degree below normal.

The Colaba weather station recorded a minimum temperature of 19.5 degree Celsius and the maximum temperature was 28.4 degree Celsius.

“The clouds over the city increased the moisture content on Tuesday night,” said said VK Rajeev, director, western region, India Meteorological Department (IMD). “The clouds blocked the long wave radiation from the land leading to an increase in the minimum temperature.”

Rajeev added, “The increase in moisture content was temporary and in two to three days, the western disturbances in north India will reduce the minimum temperatures again.”

The weatherman have predicted that the minimum temperature will remain around 19 to 20 degrees for the next two days.
