Two young interpreters helped the court communicate with the accused. The duo, from Somalia and Uganda respectively – study in Pune and helped read out the charges to the accused.

The duo also helped the accused understand court procedure and the offences under which the accused were booked.

The charges were explained to the accused in a small group to avoid chaos in court.

However, the accused had several doubts about the court procedure and were reluctant to sign the documents. It was only when the interpreters explained the procedure in detail that they cooperated.
