Make Belgaum a state: Uddhav

Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray said on Friday that since the Centre has agreed to the demand of a separate state of Telangana, they should also take a decision on Belgaum, reports HT Correspondent.

Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray said on Friday that since the Centre has agreed to the demand of a separate state of Telangana, they should also take a decision on Belgaum.

“People from Belgaum have been fighting a long battle. It should either be merged with Maharashtra or given a separate statehood status,” he said.

“Those legislators who are demanding a separate Vidarbha, should fight for Belgaum first,” he added.
