No block on CR, but jumbo block on WR today

The central railway (CR) announced that there would be no mega block on the CST- Kalyan main line, CST-Panvel Harbour line and Thane – Vashi / Nerul Trans Harbour line on Sunday.

However, due to maintenance work by western railway (WR), the mega block shall be enforced on the harbour line between Mahim and Andheri stations from 11.00am to 4.00pm on Sunday. As result, up and down harbour line services for Bandra/ Andheri leaving CST from 10.20am to 3.49pm and Andheri locals leaving Panvel at 10.47am and Panvel local leaving Andheri at 12.25 pm is cancelled.

On the other hand, WR shall enforce a five-hour jumbo block from 11.00am to 4.00pm between Mahim and Andheri stations. During the block, some up and down Churchgate-Andheri-Churchgate local trains will remain cancelled and there will be no services on the harbour corridor.

Most CR train services continued to remain a few minutes behind the schedule on Saturday morning owing to the interlocking and work at cross points. Though, majority trains were on time, they were slow between Ghatkopar and Kurla stations. As a result at certain stations like Byculla and Dadar, services got delayed by about 10 minutes.
