Parents of Versova siblings agree to help with inquiry

Parents of the Versova siblings, Rehab and Rameez Choughule, have faxed the police informing them that they are currently in Oman and are available for any inquiry concerning the death of their children.

Gayasuddin and Farzana Choughule, whose children's deaths are under investigation, had left for Oman earlier this week without informing the police.

DCP (zone 9) Pratap Digavkar said they were investigating how Rameez received a death certificate without a post-mortem, despite the mysterious nature of his death.

Police reports say that pest control was done at the Choughule residence on July 3, following which the house was not ventilated. The siblings, Rameez and Rehab, returned home late that night and slept with the air conditioner on.

The next morning, both siblings complained of sickness and were rushed to the hospital where Rameez was declared brought in dead and Rehab died the next day.
