The PIL filed by social activist Rajendra Thacker alleges that Lodha Developers announced the scheme a few days after the Thane civic body issued a stop-work notice to them on February 23 for their luxury township project called Casa Univis.
The project comprises 26 towers. Sumedha Rao, Thacker’s advocate, mentioned the PIL before the division bench of chief justice Mohit Shah and justice SJ Vazifdar.
Brochures were distributed on March 12 for the Dahisar project called Lodha Aqua.
The PIL contends that there was no mention in the brochure of issuance of an OC for the buildings.
Apart from restraining possession of flats, the PIL seeks an inquiry into Casa Univis. The case has been kept for hearing on March 21.
