Avinash Katakwar, junior engineer, Kalyan Mahavitaran, said, "We have disconnected connection to three of the quarters because of outstanding bills. The bills amount to Rs 1.30 lakh, Rs 1.05 lakh and Rs 75,000. In the last 15 years, Mahavitaran has served three notices to the court authority under the Maharashtra Electricity Act, 2003, but there has been no response."

Mahavitaran officers personally met the court authorities as well, only to be told that the matter was being looked into, added Katawar.

Katawar said the judges living in the quarters currently refused to pay the outstanding bills because the dues go back to a time when they were not living in the quarters.
