The police on Friday arrested one more man in connection with the alleged rape of a 12-year-old girl.
Nine men, including her cousin, had allegedly raped the girl over two years. The girl was living with her aunt at Saki Naka.
Police arrested Gyan Prasad Sharma (28) outside the court after his anticipatory bail application was rejected. “As soon as he came out of the sessions court he was arrested,” said Sharma’s lawyer Anjali Awasti. Sharma, in his application, had said “there was no medical evidence against him”.
The police had earlier arrested five men and are on the lookout for three accused.
