On Thursday, they had arrested the three, Kavish Madan, his brother, Karan (both 18) and their friend Mahesh Devbandi (23) for allegedly blackmailing and extorting money from the victim, their 16-year-old classmate, over the last few months.

“We’ve booked the father, an advocate, for extortion. A few days before the victim complained to the police, her father had forcefully taken possession of bikes belonging to two of the accused from a garage at Charkop,” said Amitabh Gupta, ACP (West).
