Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray on Friday responded to being called a “kid” by Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) president and union minister Sharad Pawar, saying that he should first check the age of his daughter, Supriya Sule, and nephew, deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar, before commenting on the Sena.

He added, “He (Pawar) should also look at the age of Rahul Gandhi, the general secretary of the party he is ‘serving’.”
On Friday, Pawar was asked why he had not spoken to the saffron party regarding the agitation in Jaitapur, spearheaded by Uddhav Thackeray.
Pawar replied, saying “I do not get to meet my senior friend (Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray) nowadays and I would not discuss such issues with kids (referring to Uddhav)."
If the NCP has such views on the second-generation leaders, the youth should decide if they want to vote for the party, Uddhav said.
