Activists on Tuesday alleged that the Centre had ignored changes suggested to the Communal Violence Bill.

The Bill is likely to be discussed in the ongoing Parliament session. Director-actor, Nandita Das, said: “This Bill makes it hard for perpetrators, who are often public officials, to be prosecuted without government permission,” said Das.

The Bill was tabled in Rajya Sabha in 2005.
