Thousands of perspiring metalheads, mostly dressed in black, head-banged their night away with American new metal band Korn in Gurgaon on Wednesday. The band members— vocalist Jonathan Davis, guitarist James ‘Munky’ Shaffer, drummer Ray Luzier and bassist Reginald Arvizu— belted out their popular tracks like Get Up, Narcissistic Cannibal as the fans swung their arms. Jonathan’s rendition of the famous Pink Floyd number, We Don’t Need No Education, made even the shy fans on the sidelines join the screaming, half naked mosh pit near the stage.

The band threw drum sticks, drum sheets and CDs of their album at the crowd as a goodbye gift, as a visibly overwhelmed Davis said, “You guys are incredible. We love you.” The band will perform in Bengaluru today. Their Mumbai gig, scheduled for Sep 9, has been called off due to security reasons.
