Noida CEO pulls up officials over project delay
Tandon asked officials to deliver all ongoing projects within deadline
Alok Tandon, the chief executive officer (CEO) of the Noida authority, on Friday conducted an inspection at the sites of multiple projects, including under construction parking facilities in sectors 1, 3, 5 and affordable housing projects in sectors 116, 117 and 118. The CEO also inspected the site near Sorkha village where an approach road is proposed to be built.
The CEO pulled up officials for laxity in the work on the parking facility in Sector 1 and directed the staff to complete the projects as per scheduled deadline. The authority is building the underground parking facilities in parks in Sector 1’s B-block Park, Sector 3’s F-block and Sector 5’s Harola village Park. While the first is being built over an area of 11,440 square metres, the other two will come up on 8,395 square metres and 6,971.58 square metres respectively.
Visitors to offices and employees of factories, corporate houses, MNCs and BPOs often park their vehicles roadside, causing traffic congestion. The underground parking facilities in sectors 1, 3 and 5 will help address the parking crisis in these four sectors. Officials said that once the parking facility in Sector 3 is ready in the next four months and is opened to the public, it will solve much of the parking issues in the area.

He directed us to complete the work on underground parking in Sector 3 in the next four months and also said that work on the other two underground parking facilities in sectors 1 and 5 should be completed as per the deadline this year,” Hom Singh Yadav, chief engineer, Noida authority, said.
The affordable housing projects, which are being built in sectors 116, 117 and 118 will be ready next month.
The Noida authority has built around 1,200 flats in sectors 116, 117 and 118 for people belonging to economically-weaker sections.
“The CEO has directed the staff to finish work on these flats by March end,” Yadav said.
