Praveen Rukhaiyar, Railway Divisional Engineer (Signal and Telecom), East Central Railway, posted at Hajipur, was
missing since Saturday evening from his Danapur railway quarter.
His body was recovered near the railway track at Gandhi Halt, 8 kilometres away from Danapur railway station
on Sunday.
The identity of the body could be ascertained on the basis of the deceased's clothes, officials said.
Family members said Rukhaiyar had left his house at around 4 pm on Saturday to consult a doctor.
Rukhaiyar, though posted at East Central Railway (ECR) headquarters at Hajipur, was living with his family in a
railway quarter in Medical Colony, Danapur.
