Singh had allegedly committed suicide after killing his wife and six-month-old daughter at the official residence of his father Narendra Singh, minister of food and civil supplies in state government.

Paswan said there would be no Holi celebrations following the tragedy that struck the family of Narendra Singh, who was once a senior leader of the party before joining the JD(U).

Deputy leader of the opposition in Bihar Assembly and senior RJD leader Shakeel Ahmed Khan told reporters here that Prasad has cancelled Holi celebrations following the tragedy.

State BJP president Radha Mohan Singh, MP, too cancelled Holi programmes at the party headquarters as a mark of respect to the departed soul.
