Vijay Krishna, in his late 50s, was arrested from Faridabad in Haryana and brought in Patna on Thursday.

"We will file a chargesheet soon and approach the court for a speedy trial," Additional Director General (Police Headquarters) Neelmani told IANS.

Vijay Krishna was arrested by a police team from Bihar after evading arrest for more than two months in connection with murder of Patna businessman Satyendra Kumar Singh. A non-bailable warrant was issued against the JD-U leader by a Patna court.

Vijay Krishna was brought here by an evening flight from New Delhi on Thursday on a transit remand. He has been lodged in the Shastrinagar police station.

"We will interrogate him on his involvement in the murder," said Patna Senior Superintendent of Police Vineet Vinayak.

Police sources said that Vijay Krishna would be produced in a court in Patna on Friday.

Satyendra Singh, 50, was abducted in the last week of May. His decomposed body was found floating in the Ganga river June 11.
