Rajinikanth defies age, we know that. But what is it with his pairing with girls younger than his daughters? His die-hard fans will contend it's a role and if he does it well, then it just doesn't matter. He detractors can huff and puff while Thalaivar continues to romance heroines fit to be his daughters. In Lingaa, he is paired with Sonakshi Sinha. Rajinikanth found shooting duets with Sonakshi Sinha more challenging than doing stunts atop a moving train in the film.

Playing a dual role in Lingaa, Rajinikanth will also romance Anushka Shetty. Rajinikanth believed make-up artist Bhanu and cinematographer Rathnavelu were the reason behind his 'young and beautiful' on screen.
