Farmers protest at Delhi's Jantar Mantar over unemployment, MSP | In Pics

The Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM), along with other farmer groups on Monday held a 'mahapanchayat' at New Delhi's Jantar Mantar to protest against issues including the rising unemployment in the country, MSPs, Electricity Amendment Bill 2022. The Delhi Policemade elaborate security arrangements by putting up barricades and deployed huge numbers of personnel in border areas during the day.

Some other demands of the farmers include justice to the farmers' families who lost their loved ones in the Lakhimpur Kheri "massacre", farmers of the country should be made debt free, Electricity Amendment Bill 2022 should be cancelled, India should come out of the WTO and cancel all free trade agreements, among others.
