Photos: Highest-ever spike takes India’s Covid-19 tally past 3.3 million

According to the Union Ministry’s information bulletin released on August 27 morning, India has crossed the 3.3 million mark after recording an all time high number of Covid-19 cases within 24 hours. Despite the addition of 75,760 fresh cases, the Health Ministry reinstated that only 21.87% of cases were active. However, the ministry’s bulletin drew special focus towards tuberculosis patients in the country and their chances of contracting the virus. It advised that newly-diagnosed tuberculosis patients or those currently on treatment should be tested for Covid-19 and vice versa. India’s current tally of Covid-19 cases stands at 3,314,953 cases.
