Photos: India logs 18,732 new Covid-19 cases, lowest since July

India's daily new Covid-19 fatality count dropped to below 300 after over six months according to data updated by the Union Health Ministry on December 27. A total of 279 more deaths and 18,732 new infections --the lowest since July -- were reported in the 24-hour period since, the data updated at 8 am showed. The number of people who have recuperated from the disease has surged to 97,61,538 pushing the national recovery rate to 95.7%, while the Covid-19 case fatality rate stands at 1.45%.
