Beans: Beans and legumes may be hard to digest for the body as they are high on Raffinose (Trisaccharide). Beans have a good content of fiber which can make you gassy too if you are not used to having such food. All the beans and pulses do not cause gas though. Cauliflower or broccoli: Cauliflower or broccoli too have a high amount of Raffinose as that of beans and legumes which could cause gas. It is better to avoid these foods during pregnancy and also by new mothers as it may sometimes lead to gas issues in newborns.
