Talking about the benefits of ice facials, Dr Madhu Chopra, MBBS, DORL, Cosmetologist and Managing Director of Studio Aesthetique in Mumbai. said, “The benefits of ice water facials are 1. Pore-tightening: The ice water's chilly temperature forces your skin's blood vessels to contract, which can momentarily lessen the appearance of enlarged pores. Your skin may have a softer, more refined texture as a result. 2. Improved circulation: The ice water's cool feeling helps increase blood flow to the face, which can help to create a glowing complexion. By lowering redness and irritation, it may also aid in the treatment of skin diseases like acne.”  (Unsplash)expand-iconView Photos in a new improved layout

Though ice water facials can have these advantages, it's important to use them sparingly and carefully as Dr Madhu Chopra cautioned, “Too much exposure to the cold might harm the skin. Always make sure the ice is covered with a cloth or plastic bag to prevent it from coming into contact with the skin and keep the facials to no more than a few minutes at a time.”  (Instagram/@s.h.o.pee)expand-iconView Photos in a new improved layout
